Introduction to Intaglio Printmaking

In this workshop, participants are introduced to drypoint, one of the fundamental techniques of intaglio printmaking, along with the characteristics of this technique that allow for a vibrant and modulated line, resulting in expressive and detailed prints. Participants engrave their drawings on zinc and then ink and print them using a cylinder press.

This workshop is led by Diane Jodes, co-founder of Empreinte, a printmaking studio in Luxembourg. It is inspired by the print titled "Die Fachwerkstadt" by the artist Titus Schade, created as part of his exhibition at the Konschthal.

All the material is provided by the Konschthal. Work clothes are recommended
