Workshop - artistic intervention - public space

Exterioor turns public space into a playground for the ears. It’s a participatory and playful workshop that gives you the power to shape how your city sounds.

We kick off with simple listening games that wake up your ears and open up the sounds of the city. Along the way, we explore questions like: How does the city sound today? How do we want it to sound tomorrow? What kind of sonic environment do we want to live in? Step by step, we start building a shared sonic masterplan to recompose the city. Not on paper, but in real space.

Using The Swarm (a mobile multi-speaker system developed by aifoon) we move sound through a square, park, or playground. We place it in hidden corners and unexpected edge. Sound appears where you don’t expect it. It shifts as we move. By listening, reacting, and layering sounds together, we create a living soundscape. It’s never fixed. It keeps evolving. It responds to our shared imagination.
