RAFTSIDE's brand new track 'Midnight Sun' (composed and submitted to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024), is a vibrant tribute to 80s pop culture. Blending a driving beat with deliciously surreal lyrics, RAFTSIDE deliver a captivating electro-pop ballad. The band manages to capture the essence of that iconic decade, evoking a time when electronic sounds and unbridled creativity were the order of the day.

When you listen to 'Midnight Sun', you're instantly transported to a retro-futuristic world, reminiscent of the endless nights of the 80s. The band creates an enchanting atmosphere that makes you feel as if you've been plunged into an 80s sci-fi film, where ethereal synthesizers and driving rhythms dominate.

To accompany this electrifying song, RAFTSIDE mastermind Filip Markiewicz has produced an innovative video clip that fuses painting, 3D animation and artificial intelligence. This technological fusion adds a fascinating visual dimension to 'Midnight Sun'. The clip transcends the boundaries of creativity, offering a captivating visual experience that blends perfectly with the music.

One of the special features of this track is its link with the painting work of Filip Markiewicz. The artist has been developing the visual aesthetic of the video over the last few months, creating a deep connection between music and visual art. ‘Midnight Sun' thus becomes a multi-dimensional work, where music, technology and art come together to offer a new form of artistic experience.

RAFTSIDE premiered 'Midnight Sun' live on November 4 at a pop cine-concert at the Konschthal Esch. Filip Markiewicz on guitar and synthesiser will be accompanied by drummer and percussionist Lars Neugebauer.
