Opening hours

Using photographs of architecture and places in transformation as a starting point, students are invited to intervene directly on the images through embroidery.
Flowers, plants and botanical forms gradually cover, extend or transform the spaces represented. Through this creative process, students explore the contrast between architecture and nature, as well as between traces of the past and new forms of life.

The workshop invites students to look at these places from a different perspective and to imagine how nature can gradually reclaim them.

(For secondary school classes, a photography component can be added if two 3-hour sessions can be scheduled. Students then begin by photographing the city and its architecture, working with light, framing and composition, before intervening on their own photographs through embroidery.)

If you would like to combine photography and embroidery, please allow for two sessions of 2.5 to 3 hours.
