As part of the exhibition “Five Hours, Fifty Days, Fifty Years” by artist David Claerbout, photographer and artist Neckel Scholtus leads a creative photo workshop for school classes, centred on one key question: How can time be captured in a single image?
Echoing the work of David Claerbout—where the boundaries between photography, film, and the perception of time begin to dissolve—this workshop invites students to experiment with long exposure as a way to make movement and transformation visible.
The camera becomes more than a tool for freezing moments; it turns into an instrument for observing and revealing temporal processes and transitions.
All materials provided by the Konschthal.
