Every Thursday evening (from 18.07 – 29.08.2024), take advantage of these long summer evenings to visit the Konschthal.
Discover the second edition of the Groovy Thursdays, that will take place every Thursday evening from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the summer. As an after-work or to kickstart your evening, this nocturnal event is an opportunity to stroll through our exhibitions and enjoy a dedicated cultural program: guided tours, project presentations, workshops mixing disciplines and genres are being served.
The Konschthal Groovy Thursdays are also the ideal place for a relaxing moment with snacks and drinks.
Last but not least, in collaboration with Radio 100komma7, Konschthal invites several Luxembourgish artists to curate and create a personal playlist for each evening. Come discover the surprising and eclectic sounds presented by these local artists.
Here, it's all about the art of relaxation.
The programme
- 5pm - 9pm: APERO WORKSHOP – Intaglio – Print it! Engraving workshop
Around the exhibition TEKTONIK by Titus Schade.
Come discover the intaglio engraving technique. During this workshop, you will learn the basics of engraving technique on different recycling materials such as Tetrapak or old CDs. These surfaces allow for easy cutting, engraving, and playful construction of shapes, houses, cities, or hybrids inspired by the works and the surrealist world of artist Titus Schade. Unleash your imagination, learn to engrave with a point, creating hollows that will be the receptacle of ink, on a recycled material, and come ink and print your engraving on a cylinder press.
This workshop is inspired by the engraving entitled "Die Fachwerkstadt" by the artist Titus Schade, created as part of his exhibition at the Konschthal.
Designed by Diane Jodes, led by the educational team of Konschthal.
