The visual artist Joël Leick will engage in the field of Book-Collage, working with a Leporello, a paper accordion book where each fold becomes a space for creation—like a canvas receiving color and lines, fragments of photographs, or cut-out wallpaper, found images, torn, selected... This collection will form a landscape, a journal of the moment. From a title, a word, or a phrase, the project will take shape! A biographical story will unfold within the pages of the Leporello. Photographic elements will be sourced from magazines and newspapers, and various techniques, including monotype, will contribute to the project's development. An exhibition of the completed works will offer a new perspective on book-collages.

Joël Leick was born in Thionville in 1961, where he lived and worked until 2000. In 2001, he moved to Paris. As a painter, photographer, engraver, collagist, poet, performer, and publisher of artist books (Books & Things), he participates in numerous international contemporary art fairs.

All materials will be provided by the Konschthal. Participants are, however, encouraged to bring photos of landscapes and figures from personal albums or various magazines. Work attire is recommended.
