Better too much than too little…

BIOGRAPHIES

Wolfgang Müller, born in 1957, was the founder of the experimental art group Die Tödliche Doris, which deliberately ignored media boundaries in the 1980s. Even today, Müller continues to work in a similarly conceptually Dadaist manner – his work forms an open, associative anti-system that subverts conventions and uses humor and critique to address societal topics such as science, nature, nation, and sexulity. He employs absurd elements – such as Iceland, ornithology, amber, or Icelandic transvestites – on an equal footing, creating a disturbingly abstract yet realistic worldview. Müller’s approach highlights that apparent nonsense can lead to deeper insight – through curiosity, critique, and humor.

Gudrun Gut is a pioneering Berlin artist whose career spans decades, from early 1980s bands like Mania D, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Malaria! to a diverse solocatalog. She founded influential labels (Moabit Musik, Monika Enterprise), co-hosted Oceanclub Radio, organized club nights and festivals, and led feminist experimental projects like Monika Werkstatt. She’s collaborated with AGF and Hans-Joachim Irmler, served on music funding juries, and released the acclaimed album MOMENT (2018/9), touring globally. She won the 2019 Listen to Berlin Award and published M_DOKUMENTE in 2021. In 2023, she released her miniseries GUT on ARD Mediathek.

Pascal Steinwachs, also known as Balkenstein Stulpnagel, is a journalist, DIY musician (noise/techno), and, according to his friends, a walking music encyclopedia. He owns a huge music collection, yet is still on the lookout for new music every single day.
