Workshop (Walk-in) - Ephemeral Landscapes – Cyanotype
In the framework of the exhibition Reality Check by the European Month of Photography
Workshop offered by by Samantha Wilvert
Walk-in from 10:30 am – 5:30 pm
Come and explore the magic of cyanotype!
In this workshop, you’ll discover the fascinating technique of cyanotype, which allows the creation of monochrome blue prints using objects or negatives. In connection with the exhibition, the goal is to collaboratively design a landscape that reflects our present-day world.
A wide variety of objects and materials will be available – sand, salt, water, flowers, branches, leaves, fabric, textured plastic, metal grids – allowing you to unleash your creativity and imagine your own landscape.
Let yourself be guided through the process: place your objects on a sheet of paper coated with light-sensitive solution, press everything flat with a glass plate, and expose it to light. Once the print is developed, it’s washed and dried, revealing the unique image you’ve created.
Languages: LU, FR, DE, EN
Age: for families, adults, and teenagers (children aged 6+ must be accompanied by an adult)
Free of charge | Subject to availability (waiting times may apply) | No booking required.
Performance INFRA
5:00 pm -5:30 pm
In the framework of the exhibition Reality Check by the European Month of Photography and the artwork T R A N S I T I O N S by Séverine Peiffer
By Brian CA
INFRA is much more than a simple performance.
The performer experiences this body of which he is both the possessor and the possessed. Through the prism of contradiction, he explores and questions the awareness of his own physical gravity and the consequences that this reflection entails.
In a confined and non-dedicated space, in direct proximity to the audience, he invites the spectator to feel rather than to see.
Stimulating the cognitive and sensory empathy that connects us, what do our sensations provoke in others? This exploration?
Is it possible to be fully aware of one's body? And what sensations arise from this awareness? What experience do we make of it?
INFRA takes the form of a series of raw and spontaneous attempts that evoke the emotion of sensations, inviting everyone to be carried away by bodily memories.
