Explore Movement Through Drawing

What if a still image could come to life and tell a story in motion? Inspired by the artwork The pure necessity of David Claerbout, who transformed The Jungle Book into a silent meditation on time and perception, this workshop invites everyone to explore the transition from stillness to life.

Starting from a frozen image, each participant imagines what comes next: a gesture, a transformation, a flicker. Drawing page after page, these images come alive in a flipbook — that small magical booklet you flip through with your thumb to create the illusion of movement.

No drawing skills are necessary: what matters is the desire to experiment, imagine, and let movement emerge. This workshop is an invitation to give time, rhythm, and life to what seemed still, and to rediscover the magic of movement drawn by oneself

All materials will be provided by the Konschthal.
