Julia Beliaeva explores, through her porcelain sculptures, digital works, and installations, the fragility of the human condition as well as the dialogue between tradition and modernity. She incorporates advanced technologies such as scanning, modeling, 3D printing, and virtual reality into her creations, thereby renewing artistic practices in a constantly changing world. Through her use of porcelain, she reflects on cultural heritage and lost craftsmanship, particularly those of Ukraine’s once-thriving ceramics industry. She also transforms mythological figures into poignant representations of suffering and resistance, questioning how myths and folk tales reflect contemporary struggles.
