This publication accompanies the installation of the legendary 'Oasis No. 7' by Haus-Rucker-Co in Luxembourg (2024), which was shown for the first time at documenta 5, in Kassel (1972). 'Architecture is the Borsalino among the hats', according to Raimund Stecker, and Zamp Kelp is the 'nomadic individual utopian', as an imaginative 'co-partner' of the architects' and artists' commune Haus-Rucker-Co. As early as 1967, a year before the Club of Rome, Haus-Rucker-Co had joined forces - also to give constructive answers to the questions about the 'limits to growth' that had not yet been formulated. Then, in 1972, at documenta 5, they demonstrated with their 'Oasis No. 7' that art can show not only criticism, but above all achievable, i.e. concrete utopias. In 2024, the oasis was installed again at the town hall of Esch-sur-Alzette; the publication accompanies this renewed demonstration of the timeless oasis idea and integrates it into the world of Zamp Kelp's 'thought-building' through found narratives.
