In 2027, the Konschthal Esch is dedicating a solo exhibition to Julian Rosefeldt, one of the leading voices ofcontemporary moving image. The show brings together key works by the Berlin-based artist, including his large-scale multi-screen film installations. Rosefeldt examines the myths, ideologies and rituals that shape our societies. At a time when authoritarian rhetoric and ideological narratives are resurfacing, these works take on striking relevance. Combining cinematic precision, irony and critical depth, his images push us to question our relationship to the world.

Born in 1965 in Munich (Germany), Julian Rosefeldt lives and works in Berlin. After studying architecture in Munich and Barcelona, he emerged as one of the major figures of moving image art. His multi-screen film installations, of great visual ambition, have been shown in some of the world’s most important museums, including Manifesto (2015), starring Cate Blanchett, and Euphoria (2016–2022). He has taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich since 2011.
