Vera Kox's artistic practice examines the intrinsic qualities of industrial materials, which she carefully selects and transforms, often juxtaposing them with worked ceramic fragments to reevaluate preconceived notions about sculpture. The fusion of these elements initiates a dialogue between materials to form a continuous whole: hybrid objects – contemporary fossils of a modern, materialist reality – unfold in an alternative landscape. As she roams, Vera Kox collects images, both still and moving, which she transposes into her work, projecting visitors into unusual environments.

For her first solo exhibition in a Luxembourg institution, Vera Kox will be presenting a selection of previous works alongside new ones that have emerged from the research she undertook during her most recent artist residencies.
